Un plan d’action emballant pour 2017-2018
Le plan d’action de la campagne unitaire « Engagez-vous pour le communautaire » se précise de plus en plus. Le comité de coordination national nous en dévoile les grandes lignes que voici :
- Campagne Facebook et ateliers d’éducation populaire sur le thème du Monopoly– pour faire connaître nos revendications et mobiliser en vue de la manifestation du 27 septembre;
- Pétition nationale– pour mobiliser plus largement et démontrer l’appui de la population;
- Manif-action nationale le 27 septembre 2017 à Québec – pour lancer un message fort au gouvernement;
- Consultation sur la grève du communautaire (grève, fermeture / interruption de services partielle ou complète)– pour intensifier nos moyens de pression (outil de consultation à venir);
- Journée d’actions régionales le 7 février 2018 – pour maintenir la pression avant le budget 2018.
Dans les prochaines semaines, le FRACA Montréal préparera des infolettres qui vous détailleront les différentes étapes de ce plan d’action.
DEUXIÈME ÉTAPE : Pétition nationale
À vos crayons!
D’abord sur papier, cette pétition reprend nos revendications (rehaussement, autonomie, indexation, services publics). Elle sera ensuite inscrite au site des pétitions de l’Assemblée nationale dès le 27 septembre. Elle circulera donc papier et sur internet. En décembre, un événement médiatique sera organisé pour souligner son dépôt à l’Assemblée nationale.
Objectif : 65 000 signatures!
Faites-la signer lors de vos AGA!
Afin de démontrer l’appui de la population et d’avoir un écho à l’intérieur de l’Assemblée Nationale, Engagez-vous pour le communautaire vise gros! Rien de moins que 65 000 signatures!
Est-ce trop ambitieux? Ambitieux, oui. Trop, pas du tout puisque ça ne représente, en moyenne, qu’environ 20 signatures par organisme!
Toutes les occasions seront bonnes pour faire signer notre pétition : un comité, une assemblée générale, un CA, une manif ou une activité au programme de votre organisme, mais aussi un souper de famille ou une rencontre de parents.

Quelques règles à respecter :
- Envoyer les originaux lorsque la feuille est complète.
- Tout le texte doit être présent sur toutes les feuilles. Les signatures au verso ne seront pas comptabilisées si elles ne sont pas précédées du texte.

An exciting action plan for 2017-2018
The steering committee at the provincial level for the « Engagez-vous pour le communautaire/Commit to the community sector » campaign has further developed an action plan for the next year. Here’s a look at the big picture:
- Facebook campaign and popular education workshops based on the Monopoly theme– in order to inform folks of our demands and to mobilize for the demo on September 27th;
- Petition – in order to widen the mobilization efforts and show how the population supports our demands;
- Province-wide demo on September 27th in Québec City – in order to send our message loud and clear to the provincial government;
- Consultations within the community sector on a holding a strike (strike, closures/interrupted services, either partially or completely)– in order to intensify our pressure tactics (a consultation toolkit for groups will follow);
- February 7th 2018 – Day of actions and demos per region – in order to maintain pressure leading up to the 2018 budget.
In the following weeks, FRACA Montréal will be sending out newsletters detailing different stages of the campaign’s action plan.
SECOND STAGE…
Province-wide petition!
Get your pens ready!
The petition will include all of our demands from the campaign (funding, autonomy, indexation, public services). Although it is starting off on paper for now, the petition will be published on the website of the National Assembly by September 27th. It will then be available on paper and online. In December, there will be a media and visibility event as the petition will be tabled at the National Assembly!
Goal: 65 000 signatures!
Have it signed at your AGM!
We need our demands to be heard within the Québec government and to be understood and supported by the population. As such, the Engagez-vous pour le communautaire campaign is aiming high! Nothing less than 65 000 signatures!
Is it too ambitious? Ambitious, maybe…. Too much, not at all! It only represents – on average – about 20 signatures per organization!
Any time is a good time to get signatures for the petition: at a committee meeting, an annual general meeting, a board meeting, at a demo or during an activity organized within your own community group. Why not get signatures during a family dinner?

Print as many copies as you can, and get them signed!
A few rules to follow:
- Please send us the ORIGINALS once the sheets are filled with signatures.
- The text explaining our demands must be present on each sheet. Any signatures placed on the back of the paper, or on a blank one, will not be counted if they do not follow the original text of the petition.
